Are you satisfied with your website’s performance?

If not, it’s not too late. You only need to make a few simple fixes to improve your website’s rank in search and increase traffic and conversions.

Optimize Your Low-quality pages

For most of us, thin content is less of a penalty threat and more of an opportunity. By finding pages with thin content, you have the opportunity to figure out if they’re doing enough to serve your visitors. Pile on some Google Analytics data and start making decisions about improvements that can be made.

Thin content could be damaging your site. If it’s deemed to be malicious, then it could result in a penalty. Find those pages

Add Page views and Bounce Rate a spreadsheet so you can track this over time. Also add some keywords that you want that page to rank for your Moz Pro Rankings. That way you can make sure targeting searcher intent and driving organic traffic that is likely to convert. Will also know you’re being out ranked by your competitors.

Google’s Quality Guidelines

Determine if a Page is “Low Quality” in Google’s Eyes

Google has some ideas about what’s high quality versus low quality, and a few of those are pretty obvious and we’re familiar with, and some of them may be more intriguing. So…

  • Google wants unique content.
  • They want to make sure that the value to searchers from that content is actually unique, not that it’s just different words and phrases on the page, but the value provided is actually different. You can check out the Whiteboard Friday on unique valueif you have more questions on that.
  • They like to see lots of external sources linking editorially to a page. That tells them that the page is probably high quality because it’s reference-worthy.
  • They also like to see high-quality pages, not just sources, domains but high-quality pages linking to this. That can be internal and external links. So it tends to be the case that if your high-quality pages on your website link to another page on your site, Google often interprets that that way.
  • The page successfully answers the searcher’s query.

Optimize your site for SEO

Trying to manipulate the search-engine rankings is a losing proposition at this point. Instead, what you should be concerned with is making your site look as good as possible for the search engine robots that will be crawling your website. Software like SEMrush can give you a complete SEO audit and show you what you should fix. Spending time on your site’s SEO optimization is always time well spent.

Social Media Optimization

Optimize your website Social Media Managing immediately to improve your Website Traffic.

Facebook is a great promotion tool whether you’re in the B2B or B2C industry. But did you know you can set up remarketing audiences in Facebook? By installing a Facebook tracking pixel on your site you can continue to market to customers who have visited your site. This is a great way to create return traffic to your business blog or website. And you can start remarketing to audiences as small as 100 visitors.

Twitter remarketing works in almost the exact same way as Facebook remarketing. Simply install the pixel and you can now target your sites visitors on Twitter. The main difference is that Twitter will require a higher minimum audience count before you can start advertising towards them, 500 people to be exact.

Build an email list Use emails for social promotion, but they’re also an amazing tool for driving traffic through a newsletter. Make sure that you have a newsletter opt-in on your website. We personally use a great tool called Drip. It’s free and very easy to set up.

Did you know that 8 out of 10 people will read a headline and not read the rest of your ad? If this is the case, you should be spending the majority of your time perfecting the headline to grab your audience’s attention – and driving them to your site. Whether you’re running ads in Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter or pay per click, make sure that your headlines are on fleek.

Site optimization: best practices to increase traffic

Site optimization to increase traffic is usually segmented into two parts:

  1. New traffic acquisitions
  2. Website enhancementssuch as optimizing ad placement, navigation and/or content on your website.

There are risks to consider for both. It’s important for you to be selective about the optimization specialist or agency you choose to work with, and always verify their optimizations before placing ads on your site.

Optimizing Your Website for Search Engines

Analyze and study your website. The first and one of the most important steps to SEO is to analyze your website to determine what changes, if necessary, should be made. This process includes assessing the site navigation, context, and overall cosmetics of the website

Determine your competition’s website. By knowing your competition in the industry, you will gain a better understanding of what exactly needs to be accomplished. It is helpful to find the top 5-10 competitors in your industry and find out what methods they are employing (they are at the top of the search engines aren’t they?). This process also helps with generating valuable keywords for your website.

Include Meta and Title tags
. HTML’s meta tag does not alter the content visible on the website; they exist only for search engines and other bots. Place a title tag at the top of each page to identify the document’s overall content. Write an accurate meta description tag, since it is often used by search engines to describe a site in search results. Add a meta keyword tag as well to reveal the most important keywords for each page to search engine bots.

  • Note that Google’s search bots do not look at meta keywords, but other search engines may. Meta tags,

Research keywords
-Identify keywords related to your site’s content. These can be popular search terms that lead people to your site, words related to your overall topic, and the topic of a specific page or blog post. If you’re not sure which keywords are popular search terms, there are services online that can help you evaluate keywords, many of them with free trials. Try KeywordSpy or WordTracker.

Place keywords strategically throughout your content. Having keyword-rich content is the key to performing well with search engines. Some search engine bots may penalize you for keyword spamming, however, so learns where to focus your efforts:

  • Use the keywords liberally on your home page.
  • Include keywords in header tags, title tags, and meta tags.
  • Include keywords in the anchor text used to describe links.
  • Use keywords in the URL of new pages.

Optimize your images. Large, high quality images can slow down your website considerably, and may burn through your server hosting space as well. Use Photoshop, or a free image editing program such as GIMP, to optimize your photos for the web. In Photoshop, you can simply click File → Save for Web. If editing images manually, you can reduce image resolution to 72 dpi, and set the color space to sRGB.[1]

Use alt tags to describe your images. This makes them searchable by search engine bots, which cannot otherwise detect what is in your images. If you can, include a keyword or two in these descriptions, but keep the description accurate.

Keep providing new content. Good Web content is a critical factor in keeping site visitors interested and coming back for more. This in turn will lead to higher search engine rankings. When writing new content, keep in mind that each page should have at least 250 words.

Get other websites to link to you. Building good incoming or back links can also increase your search engine ranking and website traffic. List your website in relevant directories and forums, and ask websites on similar topics to link to content on your website. Most major search engines rank web pages based partially on the number and the quality of links that point to the site.

Create a site map
. Site maps are XML files that list every URL in your website. Your web host may provide this file, or you may have to make it yourself. Find an example site map file and replace the example URLs with URLs of pages on your website. Once every page is listed, upload it to the root folder of your web server. Submit the link to this site map to Google and other major search engines.

  • Search online for “submit a sitemap” to find sites where you can submit your link.
  • You may also hire a service to make a sitemap for you.

Validate your HTML code. While search engines don’t care whether your HTML code is error-free, they rely on the basic correctness of the code to find out which portions of your web page to index. If your HTML code contains errors, it is possible that only portions of your web page are included in the search engine’s database. Use W3C or another site to validate your HTML, checking it for errors.

Check your site’s caching methods. If your web page caches files locally, your server won’t receive a new request every time that user visits your site again. If you have a high traffic website, caching can be a significant improvement. Search online for a web page cache test to find out whether your site is caching images and files, and research ways to improve your caching method.

Minify CSS and Javascript code. Minification removes all unnecessary characters from code, typically white space, new lines, and comments. Use Closure Compiler to minify Javascript for free, or find an optimizer for the type of code you are working with.

You will still be able to edit your code with the human-readable organization. The code is minified only when it is uploaded to the server.

Re-optimize continually. Optimizing a website is not enough to maintain the top spots in search engines for your most important keywords. Algorithms are always changing, and so is the industry. This step is optional but it is highly encouraged you continuously optimize your site.

Simple Steps to Optimize Your Web Pages for Search

Keyword Research

SEOs have started the shift from individual keyword phrases to topics. Hummingbird focuses more on the intent of the phrase with a better understanding of what the context means. This allows search engines like Google to answer questions with web pages even if that page is not optimized for that phrase.

That said, doing keyword research with the Google Adwords tool can still give you some good ideas for keywords. You want keywords that have low to medium competition in an area.

Great content (the longer, the better)

Great content is now a requirement to rank well. Search engines rank pages with bad grammar and spelling lower. Google really likes authoritative posts with 2,000+ words. Make your posts fun to read. Avoid boring, stuffy content that looks like a legal document. Instead, opt for more conversational, amusing content when writing reviews, essays and guides.

Natural keyword usage

The primary rule for mixing your keywords into your content is to make sure they sound natural to the reader and use natural keyword placement, you can actually rank better with search engines.

Page titles

Your page titles should have the keyword phrase you’re targeting but also be descriptive for the reader. For example, if your article is about “Labrador training,” then a good title might be “Labrador Training in Six Easy Steps.”

The page title should not exceed 65 characters. Although search engines will index longer titles, they will be truncated in the search results.

Header tags

It’s generally a good idea to include the keyword phrase in an occasional header tag, but don’t overdo it. If you’re going to include a keyword phrase in a header tag, it is best to use the first heading on the page (H1) because Google will pay more attention to it.

Optimized URLs

You can put keywords in your URLs, but don’t overdo it. (e.g., www.labrador-training-strategies.com/labrador-training.html). This looks suspect, with an exact match domain and a keyword-optimized url. However, a branded root domain with an optimized url is fair game, like such: http://seoproleague.com/utah-seo. The root domain still has “SEO” in it, but it’s also a branded company.

Page load time

When Google added page speed into their algorithm, sites that had slow load times saw a drop in traffic from Google. Page load speed is a ranking factor for Google.

In order to fix page load speed problems:

  • Measure how long a page takes to load.
  • Optimize your website to improve performance.
  • If you are using a shared hosting server, you can try switching to a different hosting provider to see if it makes a positive difference.
  • After making changes, measure performance again.

Internal linking

Make sure you link your content with other internal pages that would be beneficial to your readers. This will help improve your site’s SEO and will make it easier for your readers to navigate and find more of your useful content.

Google authorship

Google authorship is easy to set up in your content and your Google+ profile. It allows you to establish yourself as an authority in your niche and as a result, Google will rank pages higher for your site.

Responsive (mobile) design

Google recommends a responsive design because it makes it easier for visitors to have a single URL. Your web pages will load faster because your website doesn’t need to be redirected to another page for a mobile device.

More to Optimizing Care to be taken:

Finding the right keywords first can save you a lot of wasted effort in the future. After you pick your keywords, create the kind of outstanding content that Google wants to see. Internal linking can help improve your visitor’s experience on your site as well as allow Google to find your content more easily.

Periodically checking and improving web page load times will also help your site rankings. Having a responsive design is now more of a requirement than an option. Expect users to access your site from mobile devices, so make sure your site is ready to accommodate them for success. Last, make sure you use Google authorship as it will help improve ranking over time and show Google that you are an authority in your field.

Traffic! Leads!! Sales!!! Online Business

tlsb7
No Traffic-No Leads-No Sales? No Online Business!! So, You need to Drive traffic in your site, create leads and boost up sales should make you business! Online. Engaged in online sales of product, service, content marketing whatever you are struggling for traffic. Applying all strategy behind your business to settle a steady earnings stream with your all efforts only for huge Organic Traffic flooding in your site each time on line. Way of finding real organic traffic for my site, I got some strange factors are working behind. When failed to get expected traffic for getting open my site before search engines bot to crawl exclusively for present my content-posts. What are initially I had to do for establishing my sites content before expecting targeted audience for visiting my sites resources I might wanted to have a regular unique organic huge traffic would be flooded naturally. But finding some negative results, I had to gone for a few unnatural traffic system offered by Fiverr or other websites social experts offering paid traffic sources. How far initially I faced some problems with scaring about Google penalty. If you’re worried about Google seeing your traffic, identifying it as unnatural and demoting your site because of it, don’t be. Because bad traffic generally has no impact on search one way or another. Google doesn’t care how many views you get monthly, so they don’t care if you’re wasting money buying bad traffic. They only care if you’re buying bad links, which are a legitimate SEO factor.

You can also look at it this way; how can Google tell the difference between purchased traffic and organic traffic? Obviously, it’s easy to see the telltale signs of a robot refreshing a page, but again, they don’t care about that. Paying for good traffic is better, and it mimics organic traffic, so it’s harder to detect. To detect it, Google would have to identify a site selling traffic, identify the sites that are buying traffic, and cross-reference the users visiting each site; no easy task for no benefit to their algorithm.

Everyone knows that browsers don’t always report where visitors came from when they arrive at a website. When they don’t report where they were in the Hypertext Transfer Protocol, (HTTP) referrer header, often the traffic is considered “Direct” — which really means, “We have no clue where they came from, maybe they typed the URL in or hit a bookmark.”

Google traffic stills the best?

Organic traffic from Google search is still the most valuable traffic you can get because it grows, it’s free (sort of), and people who are using search engines are usually in a buy-ready frame of mind.

However, if your begin to rely solely on that traffic you run the risk of getting yourself into a bit of trouble in the long term. Every time Google updates its algorithm there is a chance your blog is going to be less relevant. And that means your traffic vanishes.

Follow the Guideline:

·         Choose a topic, keywords and target market that has the depth.

·         Get your own domain name and self-hosted WordPress setup, exact match keywords- Keyword + noun- Distinctive domains.

·         Change your general WordPress settings for better SEO performance.

·         Install an SEO-specific plugin like WordPress SEO by Yoast.

·         Carefully tweak and improve your user experience ranking factors,

·         Create strategic content based around keywords, value and point of difference. Because content is the King!

·         Leverage other sites’ authority and build links by providing value around the web.

·         Update old stuff (including titles and descriptions).

·         Reinvest part of your earnings to increase exposure.

·         Listen to Google but don’t be afraid of Google.

Finally Write one brilliant great, unique, strategic post of at least 3,000 plus words (include links to big bloggers in your niche, graphics, photos, etc.) based around one strategic keyword set and a point of difference. Find another blog to give it away to as a guest post.

Most important user experience ranking factor is speed. Google only wants to send visitors to website that load extremely quickly because they know that people are impatient. If your site is taking longer than about 2-3 seconds to load then it is too slow.

·         Some of the basic things you can do to ensure your blog is loading quickly include: Shrinking images- Talk to your server technicians- Use a caching plugin.

Shrink your images down to around < 50KB or smush them.

If you are on a good web host you will usually find that your server technicians will offer you some free advice on how to best optimize your blog. Open up a support ticket and tell them you need to make some site speed improvements and see what tips they give. They can do things like enabling GZIP which is a server-side speed improvement.

Caching is another big topic that takes a while to get your head around. A lot of it can be done on the server side of things, but there are also several good WordPress plugins like W3 Total Cache which you can install and get good results with.

Now that you’ve taken some steps to speed up your blog, you’ll want to start looking at the layout of your theme and ensuring that you have the design setup in a way that will encourage visitors to take an action.

For example, it’s a very good idea to ensure that you important stuff is above the fold. This is the area of your blog that people see before they have to scroll. Any opt-in forms, calls to action, etc. really need to be in this area, or at least catered to in a design that encourages scrolling.

Purchase website Traffic

That’s right very website needs traffic…real human website visitors, Whether it’s an Online store, a Blog or Informational, without a steady flow of targeted traffic, it doesn’t exist and won’t show up in most Search engines. Real Traffic is the most important element of the overall success of your website…So if you miss this, you miss the important factor! Purchasing website traffic shouldn’t be a swap for SEO and other routine strategies for web promoting; however it can surely give you that edge you require. You can enhance your Alexa positioning, and see the main after-effects of your ordinary advertising procedures.

Care some key personals Testimonial about buying traffic for their sites are…

“The service functions perfectly, as a company we needed to increase the position in the SERP but had to contend with educational sites like wikipedia or universities. The basic SEO technique did not come to that. Increasing the visits coming from the keywords have given the right push to our position in Google.”

“For me as an expert SEO this service is crucial, i purchase it to each customer i get in my Seo services portfolio; sessions are immediately visible in Google Analytics and considers them as coming from the selected keywords. Usually a package from 30k means an increase of about 5 positions if in the first page, and if the site is in the second or more, the increase of at least 10 positions monthly. “

“I am the CEO of a firm that provides catering for trade shows an expo in Milan and throughout Italy , thanks to this service this I have two sites in First Position with the most Difficult keywords and I finally increased real visits by 30% thanks to gain of that position. With the classic SEO we were stuck at the sixth and seventh position for month, now we are First”

Does Buying Traffic Hurt Your Google Rankings?

Buying traffic is one of those gray-hat techniques that isn’t particularly black hat, but isn’t necessarily white hat either. Will it hurt you in the long run, or even in the short term?

In a word; no. Buying traffic will not earn you a search penalty or harm your search ranking in any way.

This is, of course, a disingenuous statement. Purchasing traffic is a multifaceted experience, and there are a few ways along the path that can earn you some form of penalty or hurt you in some way.

Essentially, when you’re buying traffic, you’re getting either good traffic or bad traffic. Good traffic emulates organic traffic and can benefit your site by increasing your exposure and buying your products. Bad traffic does nothing but inflate your hit counter without bringing you any actual benefit. Additionally, bad traffic can come from sources that hurt you.

Obviously, when you’re buying traffic, you want to buy good traffic. Unfortunately, the world of traffic buying is a minefield littered with low-cost scams and black hat techniques.

Bad traffic comes from robots or from people in third world countries hired to visit your site several times per day. You receive hits from unique IP addresses, but you don’t get the benefits you get from real people. Organic users will click your links and explore your site; robots will not. Organic users have the chance to read your calls to action and may convert; third world traffic sellers don’t.

There’s one way that bad traffic can actually hurt your site; links. If you’re buying bad traffic, there’s the chance that the seller funnels traffic to your site through a network of low-quality blogs that Google flags as negative. If this is the case, you would experience an influx of bad backlinks, which Google will see and flag as spam. This earns you a Penguin penalty and can take a long time to fix.

Thankfully, generally this is not the case. Most traffic sellers have side businesses selling links, and don’t mix the two unless you pay for both.

By contrast, purchasing good traffic is possible, though it is generally more expensive. Good traffic does everything it can to mimic organic traffic. These users are located in the same country you’re in. They’re potentially interested in buying your product. They’ll explore your site and read your calls to action. They are, in every sense, organic users with the one exception; you bought their presence.

Let’s move and see some sites how they drive traffic to your site…

There are two ways paying for traffic, even organic good traffic, can hurt your site. The first is if, along with the traffic, come unnatural links. Bad links can hurt your search ranking, as mentioned above.

The second way is if you’re using Google AdSense or another affiliate for monetizing your blog. Many of these affiliates specify that you can’t artificially inflate your traffic, lest you lose your affiliate status. If Google catches you inflating your traffic, particularly with bad traffic, you are liable to lose your AdSense account.

Other than those two reasons, buying traffic is generally safe and, if you use a good traffic seller, beneficial to your site.

Explore Social Bookmarking Sites

sbm3

Social bookmarking is a great way to promote your blog, network with other bloggers-Explore Social bookmarking sites here-on which Internet users share their web pages, articles, blog posts, images, and videos and find new ideas and information to help you develop content for your blog. Following is an overview of the most popular social bookmarking sites on the web.

Basically, these are sites that allow users to post their favorite sites, stories, images, and videos, using tags (or keywords) to categorize and organize them. Other users can take these bookmarks and add them to their own collection or share them with even more users; many sites also have an integrated voting system that rates links according to how many people are viewing them at any given time, moving up and down in popularity.

Social bookmarking anyway you can think of social bookmarking like this: simply tagging a web page with a web-based tool so you can easily access it later. Instead of saving them to your web browser, you are saving them to the web. And, because your bookmarks are online, you can easily access them anywhere you have an internet connection and share them with friends.

Most social bookmarking sites allow you to browse through the items based on most popular, recently added, or belonging to a certain category like shopping, technology, politics, blogging, news, sports, etc.

You can even search through what people have bookmarked by typing in what you are looking for in the search tool. In fact, social bookmarking sites are being used as intelligent search engines.

Why Social Bookmarking?

sbm2

Social bookmarking is a method of saving and storing online information or web pages for future reference. Rather than adding web pages to your ‘Favorites’ menu in your web browser, you can bookmark them using a social bookmarking site for future access.

Bookmarking allows you to access your saved web pages from any computer that has access to the Internet since it doesn’t rely on information stored on your computer’s hard drive as your Favorites menu does.

Social bookmarking occurs when users share their bookmarked web pages via social bookmarking communities. When you share your blog posts through social bookmarking, you can increase traffic to your blog. Alternatively, when you view other users’ bookmarks, you can find new blogs to read, new post ideas, new conversations to start, new communities to join for further networking and more.

Since social bookmarking tools are access on the web or via a web-based application, this means you can save a new bookmark using one device, access your account on another device and see everything you added or updated from your other device. As long as you’re signed into your social bookmarking account, you’ll have the most recently updated version of all your bookmarks and other customizable information.

  2. SelectBookmarks > Show Bookmarks Bar.

You can also use the keyboard shortcuts Ctrl+Shift+B (Windows and Chrome OS) and -Shift-B (Mac).

Bookmarks on mobile devices:

The bookmarks bar is not available on Chrome for Android or iOS apps. However, there are other ways to manage your bookmarks in Chrome on a mobile device.

You can also sync your bookmarks between devices by signing in to Chrome.

The Facebook website was launched on February 4, 2004, by Mark Zuckerberg, along with fellowHarvard College students and roommates, Eduardo SaverinAndrew McCollumDustin Moskovitz, and Chris Hughes.

After registering to use the site, users can create a user profile, add other users as “friends”, exchange messages, post status updates and photos, share videos, use various applications (apps), and receive notifications when others update their profiles. Additionally, users may join common-interest user groups organized by workplace, school, or other topics, and categorize their friends into lists such as “People From Work” or “Close Friends”. In groups, editors can pin posts to top. Additionally, users can complain about or block unpleasant people. Because of the large volume of data that users submit to the service, Facebook has come under scrutiny for its privacy policies.

Facebook has more than 1.65 billion monthly active users as of March 31, 2016.[7]

Chat

Facebook Chat was added April 6, 2008. It is a Comet-based[190] instant messaging application[191] which allows users to communicate with other Facebook users in a way similar in functionality to instant messaging software.

Gifts

Facebook launched Gifts on February 8, 2007, which allows users to send virtual gifts to their friends that appear on the recipient’s profile. Gifts cost $1.00 each to purchase, and a personalized message can be attached to each gift.[192][193]

Marketplace

On May 14, 2007, Facebook launched Marketplace, which lets users post free classified ads.[194] Marketplace has been compared to Craigslist by CNET, which points out that the major difference between the two is that listings posted by a user on Marketplace are seen only by users in the same network as that user, whereas listings posted on Craigslist can be seen by anyone.[195]

On June 13, 2009, Facebook introduced a “Usernames” feature, whereby pages can be linked with simpler URLs such as https://www.facebook.com/name instead ofhttps://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=20531316728.[217] Many new smartphones offer access to Facebook services through either their Web browsers or applications. An official Facebook application is available for the operating systems AndroidiOSwebOS, and Firefox OSNokia and Research In Motion both provide Facebook applications for their own mobile devices. As of January 2015, 745 million active users access Facebook through mobile devices every day. Sherr, Ian (January 28, 2015).“Facebook mobile users hit new highs, revenue jumps”. Cnet. Retrieved March 2, 2015.

The like button is a social networking feature, allowing users to express their appreciation of content such as status updates, comments, photos, and advertisements. It is also asocial plug-in of the Facebook Platform – launched on April 21, 2010[238][239] – that enables participating Internet websites to display a similar like button.

On September 14, 2011, Facebook added the ability for users to provide a “Subscribe” button on their page, which allows users to subscribe to public postings by the user without needing to add them as a friend.[242] In conjunction, Facebook also introduced a system in February 2012 to verify the identity of certain accounts.[243]

In December 2012, Facebook announced that because of user confusion surrounding its function, the Subscribe button would be re-labeled as a “Follow” button—making it more similar to other social networks with similar functions.[244]

Number of advertisers

In February 2015, Facebook announced that it had reached two million active advertisers with most of the gain coming from small businesses. An active advertiser is an advertiser that has advertised on the Facebook platform in the last 28 days.[152] In March 2016, Facebook announced that it reached three million active advertisers with more than 70% from outside the US.[153]

If you are going to use social bookmarking sites as part of your marketing strategy, don’t ignore the ‘social’ part.
